Bwindi
National Park is located on the south-western
side of Uganda on the edge of the
Rift Valley, covering over 300 sq.
km it is one of the largest parks
in East Africa and is home to a large
amount of plants and animals only
found in this area. Bwindi is most
famous for its large amount of mountain
gorillas being home to around 600
which is half of the worlds total
population.

Days Gorilla Tracking In Bwindi
Day 01:
An early morning start from Kampala
takes you southwest and across the
equator. Drive through savannah grasslands
seeing banana plantations and herds
or Ankole cattle with their incredibly
long curving horns. You then ascend
into the Kigezi Highlands known as
the Switzerland of Africa with terraced
farming and Mountain scenery. Drive
through to Bwindi or Kisoro. Overnight
at volcano Bwindi camp or Travellers
rest hotel.
Day 02:
After an early breakfast and a briefing
by a ranger guide enter the gorilla
sanctuary for your adventure. The
beauty of this rainforest is spectacular.
The area offers dramatic steeply forested
landscape and its incredibly dense
but cris-crossed by numerous animal
trails allowing access to tourists
.The time staken and the terrain varies
with the movement of this great primates
.The thrill of pending time observing
this gentle endangered giants is an
awesome exciting experience to be
long savoured. Many find it to be
a rare and moving opportunity. Overnight
at Volcano Bwindi camp or Travellers
rest hotel.
Day 03:
Sadly return to Kampala with great
memories of and moments spent with
the fascinating Mountain Gorillas.
You will have a stopover in Mbarara
for lunch. Drop off at your hotel.
